ELMER CLARK SWEET

Sweet-DeathIn loving memory of Elmer Clark Sweet who passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Health Sciences North with family at his side. Born September 9, 1926 to Clark and Mable Sweet of Warwick, Ontario. Beloved husband of Blanche Sweet (née Fogal) predeceased 2008. Loving and loved step-father of William Coe (predeceased), Jo-Anne Rochon (predeceased), (Jules, son-in-law), Donald Coe (predeceased) (Anne, daughter-in-law). Cherished grandfather of Christine Hann (Rick), Marty Johnston of Calgary, Stephanie Coe (Ben) of Sault Ste. Marie, Christopher Coe (Carolyn) of Ottawa and Robert Coe (Paulette) of Sudbury. Dear brother of Gordon (predeceased) (Marjorie) of Belleville. Special friend to Marilyn Everett (Coe) and Lois and Howard Linley. Elmer was employed with INCO for 35 years and served briefly in his youth with the Canadian Army. He enjoyed their cottage at Kagawong and Perivale on Manitoulin Island where he hiked, biked, swam and entertained guests with his wife, Blanche. He was an active member of the Elk’s Lodge of Sudbury and served on the Tenants Association at the Casa Bella apartments in Sudbury where he also volunteered at many functions. A generous and very caring man, with a kind word for everyone, his happy disposition and gentle manner will be sadly missed. Nieces, nephews and many friends mourn his passing. In accordance with Elmer’s wishes, there was no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with interment in the family plot at the Cedars Cemetery, Kagawong at a later date. Donations in Elmer’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury.
