Will Ferguson is a prominent Canadian author whose factual integrity and witty candour are fully appreciated by his readers. His books are well-researched, entertaining and extremely relevant. Ferguson’s book, ‘Hitching Rides With Buddha: A Journey Across Japan’ is the memoir of his adventure as a young English teacher in the land of the ‘rising sun.’ When one is dependent on the kindness of strangers to make a journey, there is an incredible learning curve about the land, its history and its people. This is a candid, funny and observant chronicle of one man’s goal—to follow the awakening of the famous cherry blossoms of Japan, from the top to the bottom of that beautiful country—and all the unexpected experiences in-between. A terrific book!
‘Indigenous Healing: Exploring Traditional Paths’ by Rupert Ross is a glimpse at the actual patterns of our relationships with others and our responsibilities towards all the elements of nature. A humbling and expectant passage towards inherent wellness for everyone.
Mitch Albom is a very good writer. His novel, ‘Tuesdays with Morrie,’ has won numerous awards. So have his other works, ‘The Five People You Meet in Heaven,’ ‘Have a Little Faith’ and ‘For One More Day.’ Albom’s books, ‘The Time Keeper’ and ‘The First Phone Call From Heaven’ are also excellent stories. In ‘The Time Keeper,’ Father Time must redeem himself through a mission of teaching others about the real meaning of time. ‘The First Phone Call From Heaven’ takes place in a small Michigan town where voices from the past start calling home. Both books are terrific reads from a gifted narrator.
Steve Berry’s books combine action and thrills to create dramatic story lines featuring Federal operative Cotton Malone. Readers will be riveted to their chair and in the grip of the writer’s imagination right to the final page. Enjoy ‘The Amber Room,’ ‘The Romanov Prophesy,’ ‘The Third Secret,’ ‘The Templar Legacy,’ ‘The Alexandria Link,’ ‘The Venetian Betrayal,’ ‘The Charlemagne Pursuit,’ ‘The Paris Vendetta,’ ‘The Emperor’s Tomb’ and ‘The Jefferson Key.’
