ROBERT LEON COOPER

Robert Leon Cooper of Ottawa, formerly of Wikwemikong, passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on April 24, 2011 at the age of 29. Beloved son of Jim Eshkawkogan and Loretta Cooper both of Wikwemikong. Loving husband of Edeana Merrylees Cooper of Gore Bay. Cherished father of Seth, Nate and Hope Cooper of Gore Bay, Trinity and Trillium Wabegijig both of Ottawa. Dear grandson of Lavina Cooper of Wikwemikong, Lottie Eshkawkogan of Wikwemikong and the late Johnny Enosse. Loving brother of Andrew Cooper of Wikwemikong, Curtis Maiangowi of Orillia, Tyler-Jay Maiangowi of Sudbury, Samantha Peltier of Niagara Falls, NY, Star Eshkawkogan of Toronto, Melissa Cooper of Wikwemikong, Katherine Cooper of Wikwemikong, and special brother of Gregory Odjig. Also sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Visitation was at the Holy Cross Mission Church, Wikwemikong on Wednesday, April 27 staring at 4 pm. Funeral Mass was on Saturday, April 30 at 1 pm at the Holy Cross Mission Church. Fr. Doug McCarthy officiated. Cremation to follow with interment of ashes at a later date.
