Cash and cigarettes stolen in break and enter

M’CHIGEENG–On December 31, 2014, UCCM Anishnaabe Police received a report of a break and enter that occurred on Lakeview Drive in M’Chigeeng. A storeowner had attended the confectionary/cigarette store, located in front of his residence, to lock up for the night. It was discovered that the building had been broken into sometime between 7:30 and 9:15 pm that evening. An unknown person had entered the store and located a cash box and removed cash amounting to approximately $300. In addition to the cash, several cartons of cigarettes were also taken. Officers attended the scene and were able to locate physical evidence that will be sent for examination to assist in the identity of the suspect.
