Third Male from Wellington Street East Shooting in Custody
SAULT STE MARIE–On the 22nd of October at 8:05 pm City Police responded to a call of a shooting at 28-B Wellington Street East, Sault Ste. Marie.
As a result of the incident an adult male was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
On the 6th of November officers from Investigation Services charged two adult males with Attempt Murder use of firearm. At that time officers indicated they were looking for a third male suspect.
On the 8th of December officers from Investigation Services attended in Thunder Bay and arrested a third male who was wanted in connection to the shooting from October 22nd on Wellington Street.
28-year old Johnathon Thompson of 501-114 South May Street, Thunder Bay has been charged with one count of break and enter and commit an offence, one count of utter threats to cause death or bodily harm, one count of possession of a loaded restricted firearm and one count of possession of firearm or ammunition while prohibiting from possessing them.
Mr. Thompson will appear in bail court in Sault Ste. Marie later today.
