Spring Bay Rural Route

November 24—Old Man Winter gave us a nasty week. Some things had to be cancelled.

The St. Francis Christmas Luncheon, Bazaar and Bake Sale was held last Saturday at the Mindemoya Community Hall. The red and green tablecloths looked very nice on the tea tables. Thanks to all who helped, contributed and those who attended.

We will soon be in to December, so Christmas is not far off.

The funeral for Marion Seabrook was held last Saturday at the United Church in Mindemoya. A large number of people attended.

We heard Maryanne Pilon is feeling some better and that is good news.

The hunters are gone and many took home their deer.

Happy belated birthday wishes to Lynda Peever on November 22 and to Lavina Galbraith on November 23. I hope they enjoyed their day.

I watched the Grand Slam curling at Sault Ste. Marie on the weekend. The final game was played on Sunday and McEwen won over the Jacob rink, but it was a very close game.
