A plea to legislators to come measure with paper, pen and tape
To the Expositor:
Beach or not to beach.
To our members of Parliament, all mayors and councils, all residents and tourists, The Ministry of Natural Resources and The Department of Fisheries and Oceans:
Please come over to Manitoulin’s most beautiful beach with an opening mind, paper, pen and tape measure. Please do some measurements: the boardwalk to the water’s edge, from the water’s edge to the greenery. Please write down what you see on all sides. “Please” take note of the invasive grass and measure. My question to all is “What percentage of the Providence Bay beach is green and what percentage is sand?”
