Ontario pesticide survey
The Ontario pesticide survey can be found at www.ontariopesticidesurvey.ca and is anonymous. Only a respondents’ county/district information will be collected to help determine crop protection product usage in different parts of the province. Crop product use data has been collected across Ontario every five years since 1973. The data has allowed both regulatory and policy makes to track trends in pesticide use and make informed decisions. Manure testing
Are you testing manure from your barn? If not, how would you know how much nutrients have you applied through manure and how much would you need to apply through chemical fertilizers? Test your manure whenever you apply manure to your fields. Nutrient content in the manure could vary from season to season and from farm to farm depending upon the feed type and contents of nutrients in the feed. In some cases and for some crops manure application alone could meet phosphorus and potassium requirements of crops.
