September 15—Hearley and Margo Hinds have most of their garden cleaned up and have left Stanley Park for home. They had a good garden here and I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables. I will miss them coming in most days.
We extend sympathy to Alvin and Eileen Pearson in passing of their sister Loretta Glanville and brother-in-law Harold, and also a great-granddaughter Lucas of Exeter recently. Alvin and Eileen attended the funerals.
Sheila Maeck, Gayle Popowich and I attended the funeral on last Tuesday for Laura Scott at the Pentecostal Church in Spring Bay. Laura belonged to our Twilight Club and enjoyed coming. She also enjoyed quilting at the club. She will be missed.
A number of people took in the Seniors’ Conference at the Missionary Church in Mindemoya last Thursday. There were several speakers and draws. They served a nice lunch and it was a very informative and nice day.
We send sympathy to Doris and Bob Frederick in the passing of her brother in Sudbury.
St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mindemoya is holding a Harvest Luncheon on September 24 from 11 am to 1 pm. Price is $10. They are serving soup, sandwiches and dessert, tea and coffee.
The weather has sure been cold. It’s early to have heat on.
Mistake last week: It was Blair Jr. who visited his father in Providence Bay.
