2014 Agricorp forage yield trial

Agricorp is looking for producers to be part of their forage yield collection trial this year to help validate current plan design and help review the feasibility of collecting yields for a possible measured forage insurance plan in the future. They would be looking for the following initial information from producers: farm information including location (township, county), soil type and end use, field information including stand age, variety, fertility, and number of intended cuts. For each cut, they would like the following information: cut date, harvest type (bale size/haylage), number of bales, weight of bales (weighed or estimated), moisture level (measured or estimated) and any comments on quality (rained on etc.). They would also like to get a sense of price for any sold/purchased hay. For more details about the trial, and how to participate, please contact Debbie Brander: debbie.brander@agricorp.com, 519-826-3616, 1-888-247-4999 or fax: 519-826-4118 (attention Debbie Brander).
