Francis Nolan Trudeau, age 93, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas and Wikwemikong First Nation reserve, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Fulton County Hospital. He was born January 13, 1919 in Wikwemikong Reserve, Canada to Michael and Mary Jane “Pangowish” Trudeau. He was a pilot for U.S. Steel. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Trevor Earl Trudeau, one daughter Shirley Ann VanHorn, three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include his wife Marie Ernestine Trudeau of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two sons Gerry Trudeau and wife Janice of Ontario, Canada and Frank Trudeau of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; four daughters Diane Trudeau of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Beverly Durdan and husband John of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Karen Trudeau of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; and Andrea Eltouse and husband Joe of Windsor, Ontario; one sister Helena Trudeau of Wikwemikong, Canada; eight grandchildren Nikki, Nina, Victoria, Laura, Pamela Sue, Amy Lisa, Kelly, and Jordan; and four great-grandchildren. Services began Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7 pm at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel located in Highland, Arkansas with Pastor Larry White officiating. A visitation was held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 4 pm until 7 pm at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel. All arrangements were by Tri-County Funeral Home Highland, Arkansas.
