Spring Bay Rural Route

July 7—Canada Day went over well at Providence Bay and a large number of people attended. They enjoyed the entertainment as well as the fireworks Tuesday night.

The entertainment by Rick Piché and his son at St. Francis Anglican Church in Mindemoya had a full house both nights. The proceeds went to the Anglican Church. Thanks to the Pichés for two wonderful evenings which were much enjoyed.

Bill and Peggy Gray are holidaying at the Noble cottage in Providence Bay.

The yard sale went very well on Saturday at the Anglican Church in Mindemoya. Thanks to those who supported it and to those who worked at it.

Last week I mentioned the Twilight Club windup party but I missed saying it was held at the home of George and Gayle Popowich. Many thanks to them for hosting this event.

Sympathy to Marie Kirk and relatives in the passing of Elgin Martin. The funeral was held at the Tehkummah Hall on Friday afternoon. He will be missed. He was one of our over 97 birthday group that celebrate each year together. I attended the funeral with Owen and Irene McIntyre.

Sympathy to the family of Ronnie Sloss who passed away on Saturday.

Get well to all who are sick or shut-in.
