GERALD (GERRY) WILLIAM MACK


Mack-DeathAugust 29, 1946 – June 18, 2014

In loving memory of Gerald (Gerry) William Mack, a resident of Kagawong, who died at his residence on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the age of 67 years. He was born in Montreal, son of the late Edward and Joy (Chapman) Mack. Gerry was a well respected teacher. He taught math, physics and chemistry in the French River area. In 1973, he and Ria purchased Viva Villa. In 1999 they moved to Manitoulin permanently. Gerry loved running the campground, meeting new people and visiting with the returning people to the camp. He also enjoyed travelling and the slots. He was very community minded and was involved in many causes such as being a charter member of the Noelville Lions Club and was a member of the Manitoulin Health Centre Board, Billings council and helping people whenever he could. The greatest love in life was his family. A wonderful husband, father and brother, Gerry will be sadly missed but many memories will be cherished. Gerry is the dearly loved husband of Ria. Loving and loved father of Christopher Mack of Vancouver and Tracy Mack of Toronto. Dear brother of Rev. June Mack of Duncan, B.C. and Fran Talbot of Brossard, P.Q. Cremation will take place. A memorial service to celebrate Gerry’s life will be conducted at the Culgin Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11 am.
