Spring Bay Rural Route

June 23—The lilacs are out in bloom. As you sit outdoors you can smell the aroma.

David McAllister and I had dinner last Tuesday with Allen and Rosemarie Eagleson.

The Christian Women had dinner and a program last Monday evening at Abby’s Restaurant. They have them each month, and all are welcome.

The election is over and the Liberals have a majority now so it may help.

I was pleased to go and get my plants last Saturday.

A graveside service for Ken McDermid was held last Saturday at the Providence Bay Cemetery.

Allen, Rosemarie and David had a birthday luncheon with me on Monday. We had birthday cake and ice cream for dessert. We went to the restaurant on Sunday evening and celebrated Father’s Day. I hope all fathers enjoyed their day.

Connie went to Owen Sound for a few days as part of her work.

I hear some folks in Spring Bay are going into the chicken business.

We extend sympathy to Wilda White and family in the passing of Hazen. He will be missed.

Congratulations to all who are graduating this year.
