In loving memory of Shirley Scott (nee Shigwadja). Beloved wife of Ken Scott. Loving mother of Jason Scott (Mimi), Jillian Peltier (Lanny) and special daughter Kateri Mills. Cherished grandmother of Hannah, Abigail, Jonah, Jillian, Mackenzie (predeceased), Morgan, and Brady. Dear daughter of Alice and Albert Shigwadja both predeceased. Dear sister of Rita Krause, Jackie Stryde (Cyril), Linda Gaudreau (Ken) and Pat Mills (Bob). Shirley loved her golf, winning two gold medals and one bronze, in the Canadian Senior Games. She loved her time with her grandchildren, family and many good friends. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved her. Rested at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends called from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm and 9 pm on Thursday and after 10:30 am on Friday). Funeral Prayers were held in the R. J. Barnard Chapel on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 11:30 am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
