BRYAN HARTT GLEASON


Gleason-DeathIn loving memory of Bryan Hartt Gleason who passed away peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre in Mindemoya on April 24, 2014. Born to the late Arthur Arnold Gleason Jr. and Helen (nee Clarke) on May 8, 1942. Survived by his beloved wife Sharon. Predeceased by his brothers Arthur Arnold III and Paul. Bryan is survived by his brother Robert (Heather). He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Sandra (Harold) and Melodee. Loving father of Terri-Lee, Deone (John) Hamilton, Sara (Scott) McGuire, Heather (Thomas) Ngoma. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Raechel, Julia, Colin, Claire and William. Bryan will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins and his many brothers and sisters-in-law. Born in London Ontario, Bryan moved to Manitoulin Island and began teaching after graduation. Bryan engaged and inspired the elementary and secondary students all throughout the Island for over thirty years. He was an active member in the community, giving selflessly to the Michael’s Bay Historical Society and the South Baymouth Museum Board. Bryan loved music, sports and sharing time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all. A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at the Tehkummah Hall from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Special thanks to Dr. O’Connor, Dr. Stadnyk, the nurses and staff at Manitoulin Health Centre, Bayshore nurses Judy and Jennifer, and PSW Joyce, and all of Bryan’s friends and neighbors.
