LAWRENCE ALVIN “LORNE” MCCULLIGH


McCulligh-DeathLawrence Alvin “Lorne” McCulligh passed away in Mississauga on April 19, 2014 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by Irene, his wife and life partner of 66 years. Lorne and Irene began their lives on the Manitoulin Island and eventually moved to Port Credit. They remained proud residents of Mississauga for the rest of their lives. He is survived by his sister Elva Boose (Lorne*), Fran McConnell (Walter*) and brothers Jewell (Cora*), Tom (Audrey), Gord (Sandra), Gerry (Pat) and Arden. Predeceased by his sister Muriel Jean “Patsy” Mitchell (Cliff), Madeline Lowe (Tommy*) and Ken*. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Lorne worked as a Stationary Engineer for several companies including Canada Brewing, Domtar and after a long career retired from Redpath Sugar in Toronto. A faithful member of the Mississauga Masonic Lodge 524 and the Mississauga Shrine Club, Lorne will be remembered by his many friends in these organizations as well as the congregation of the Anglican Church of St. John the Baptist (Dixie). An inurnment ceremony took place at St. John’s Cemetery at 11 am on Saturday, April 26, 2014. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice is requested. *Deceased
