MARJORIE ALBERTA (KAY) MCFARLANE


McFarlane-DeathIn loving memory of Marjorie Alberta McFarlane who was a longtime resident at the Manitoulin Centennial Manor. She was born July 1, 1935 and passed away April 19, 2014 at the Centennial Manor. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Celena Kay. Predeceased by her dearly loved husband Beverly Davis McFarlane. Also predeceased by her second husband William Rushton. She will be sadly missed and was the mother of seven children, Miles (Nancy), Greg (Sherry), Merdick (Valerie predeceased), Edward (Shirley), Mona (Glen) Bryan, Brenda (Keith) McAllister and Jerry (Lorie) Rushton. She was the sibling of Orma (predeceased) (Roy predeceased) Hallet, Alice (predeceased Willie) Gilchrist, Donald (Donna) Kay, Margaret (Doug) Elliott, and Russel (Joan) Kay. She was a proud grandma of 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marjorie loved having her family over for functions and babysitting her grand children whenever she could. She loved to dance, sew and bake. She took part in the Horticultural Society in Providence Bay. Marjorie’s love for Beverly never died and after the passing of her second husband William Rushton, they reunited in marriage on July 29, 1995. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11 o’clock at the Providence Bay Cemetery. The interment at that time will include the burial of her husband Beverly McFarlane.
