WILMA LOVE METCALFE

Mother of Bradley (predeceased) and Gregory. Grandma Willie to Nicole, Dylan, and Carson, and great-grandma Willie to Kaleb. Daughter of Ross (predeceased) and Mary. Sister to Charlie, Jack (predeceased) and Carol, Marilyn and Gord Clarke, Michael (predeceased) and Marie, Hal and Janice, Ed (Linda predeceased), Tony (Cathy predeceased), and Mark and Lynne. Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Wilma was a proud mom of her sons and grandchildren and loved to show off her pictures. She was a great big sister to her eight siblings. Wilma worked as a teacher during her working years and spent most of her career teaching Grade six. The first job she had was when she was 16 in Markstay. She spent her later years of teaching in Toronto. Wilma was an active member of Big Lake Women?s Institute and Red Hats Society. She loved colourful clothing, high heels, classy hats and stunning jewellery, Friday hair appointments and lunch at Route 50. She was a collector of many articles especially bears and angels. Wilma loved to teach, do research, and creative writing. She always had a joke or uplifting words for others. Wilma had a huge network of friends who were so gracious to help her whenever she needed anything. Wilma loved her soaps, which no one interrupted. Wilma and Ruby had a standing reservation at Mum’s for Sunday dinners which Wilma cherished. Celebration of life was at 1 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Big Lake School.
