Archie is survived by his wife Violet (Nee Wemigwans) of 59 years, his children Marie McGregor, Tim McGregor (Maretta), Julie Wilder (friend WT Sayers), Susan Manitowabi, Brian McGregor (Karen), Inez Lightning (Patrick), Bonnie Cole (Francis), Mariette Sutherland (Greg), Robert McGregor (friend Vanessa), Tina McCurley (adopted daughter), George Gardner (god son), Steve Golubic (adopted son), Valerie Pheasant (family friend), Donna Chin (family friend), Edwin Davison (family friend). Grandpa of Ben, Athena, Sherisse, Richard, Brandon, Amelia, Paul, Jacob, Corrina, Hilary, Samantha, Andrea, Daniel, Michael (predeceased), Michelle, Laurie, Joey, Cara, Brianna, Nicki, Candace, Danika, Danielle, Bobbi, Patrick Jr., Dylan, Amber, Jeremy, Nathan, Miles, Avery, Violet, Talon, M’Skwoka. Great-grandpa of numerous great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Julia Recollet and William McGregor and siblings Agnes, Florence, Genevieve, Helen, Barbara, Mary Louise, Marion, Susan and Veronica and brother George. Survived by his brother Murray Sr. (wife Marion) of Birch Island and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Father and grandfather figure to many more. Visitation was from 6 pm on Monday, December 26, 2011 until the Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11 am; all at Birch Island Community Centre. Father George Gardner officiating.
