SUDBURY – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Sudbury Unit supported by the Halton Regional Police Service have arrested and charged a Burlington area resident along with four other people from Noelville, French River, Sudbury and Wahnapitae with several drug related offences.
The investigation focused on an individual from Burlington and Noelville who were involved in the distribution of large quantities of cocaine.
The investigation concluded with a vehicle stop on Hwy 69 and seizure of a large quantity of cocaine followed by the execution of three search warrants.
560 grams of cocaine, 1000 ecstasy pills, a small quantity of cannabis resin and marihuana along with $2,100 cash and one vehicle was seized. Four individuals have been held in custody pending a bail hearing while a fifth was released from custody.
The street value of the drugs seized is $50,000.
