Domestic Violence – Let’s Work Together To Make It Stop

WEST PARRY SOUND – On January 8, 2014 the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to two separate domestic violence incidents that resulted in minor injuries to the victims and Criminal Charges being laid on the accused.

At approximately 1:04 p.m. Police responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Great North Road in the Town of Parry Sound. The victim was assaulted and her belongings were damaged. The suspect was located by Police outside of the residence and subsequently arrested. He was charged with 2 counts of Domestic Assault and 2 counts of Mischief.

At approximately 6:59 p.m. Police were called to another domestic related incident, this time at a residence on Blue Lake Road in Seguin Township. Police attended the residence and spoke to all the parties involved. A male was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault.

Both persons accused in each of these incidents were released and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on January 23, 2014 to answer to their charges.
