SUDBURY—The Rainbow District School Board (RDSB) has outlined its capital projects for this year.
Adam Guilbault, superintendent of business outlined at a board meeting February 18 the board is undertaking 39 projects at 34 schools, and school board facilities this year, with the current budgeted amount set at $23.1 million.
For Manitoulin Island schools, Mr. Guilbault outlined that the heating system at Assiginack Public School (Manitowaning) is going to be converted from electric to propane.
The structural and masonry work at Charles C. McLean Public School in Gore Bay, which began last summer, will be continuing again this summer.
Mr. Guilbault also noted that maintenance work will begin this spring on the unpaved parking lots at all Rainbow schools on Manitoulin Island.
