Prov Ladies champions rule!

prov-ladies-curl1 — The Providence Bay Curling Club hosted a successful ladies’ bonspiel February 14-16 with a fun-filled weekend for 16 teams featuring a theme of ‘Diamonds and Denim.’ The first event winners of the Glenda Campbell Memorial Trophy were the Kyra Lanktree team which included Cathy King, Lori Gordon, Michelle Lanktree and Kim Orford. They prevailed over the team of Brittany Allen, Suzanne Jackson, Joanne Mellan and Sharon Allen. Second event winners of the Colleen Edwards Memorial Trophy were the team of Ellen Holroyd, Lise Guilbault, Jeanne Lefebvre and Lucie Gauthier with a victory over the team of Lenora Tann, May Bowerman, Lorie Leeson and Janet Anning. Third event winners were Barb Sheppard, Joan Sheppard, Christianna Jones and Jacinta Manitowabi over the team of Bev McDermid, Catherine Carriere, Cathy Jones and Carole Desmarais. Many thanks go out to all the players and the host of volunteers involved.
