M’CHIGEENG—A Manitoulin Secondary School (MSS) cross-country runner has moved on to the provincials after a very strong performance earlier this month.
“Xavi Mara finished second overall in his division at NOSSA (Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics) cross-country championship in Sault Ste. Marie,” said Jordan Smith, MSS sports coordinator. “Xavi has now qualified for the Ontario Federation of Secondary School Athletics (OFSSA) championship.”
Mr. Mara was to take part in the provincial championship this past Monday, in Ottawa.
