Providence Bay News and Notes

The pancake breakfast is on Thursday, December 5. Get a group together and come to the Providence Bay Curling Club—everyone is welcome. You will not be disappointed. The breakfast is delicious. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 am.

On December l the new hymnbook dedication service at the Community of Christ Church went very well. We sang some old favourites and Christmas carols. Coffee and Christmas sweets and tea and coffee was served. It was a very pleasant evening.

The Christmas concert at the Providence Bay Hall is on December l4. Doors open at 6 pm with the Lions Club bake sale. The concert starts at 7 pm.

The Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA) calendars are on sale at the Providence Bay Curling Club for $l0. The calendar has curlers from all different levels across Northern Ontario. Included in the calendar are also local curlers. Profits are split to go towards the Providence Bay Junior Curlers and the NOCA from the sale. Everyone is welcome to the December l4 Christmas bird count. You can be a feed watcher and record the species seen that day. If interested, phone 705-377-4645.
