MANITOULIN—100.7 FM The Island is again hosting its radiothon to raise much-needed funds for the Manitoulin Family Resources Christmas Food Basket Campaign this Thursday, December 5.
Proceeds from the event will go towards providing food for families and individuals who need extra support during the Christmas season.
The radiothon starts at 6 am and continues until 9 pm. People are encouraged to call the station at 705-368-1997 or 705 368-1419 to make pledges. For every $107 pledged and donated, that person will qualify for a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to Manitoulin Country Fest 2014.
“Manitoulin Family Resources would like to thank KT and Craig Timmermans, along with their staff, for hosting the radiothon each year and for those who generously pledge and donate to this special event,” said Nancy McDermid, Help Centre project manager.
