CATCH OF THE HARBOUR DAY—Ten-year-old Jack Laporte-Alexander caught this large fish at the swimming pool fishing pond. The Gore Bay Fish and Game Club sponsored the event, with Meeker’s Aquaculture providing the fish and the Gore Bay Volunteer Fire Department providing the ‘swimming pool’ and water. The Ben Show featured a circus arts performer who incorporated several youngsters from the audience at his show.
Participants of all age took part in the one-kilometre fun run during this year’s Harbour Days celebrations in Gore Bay.

Youngsters of all ages had the opportunity to climb behind the wheel of a fire truck at Harbour Days. The Gore Bay and Gordon//Barrie Island Volunteer Fire Department handed out plastic fire helmets, colouring books and many other items to the children as well as displaying fire equipment.
One of the inflatable dinghy races included a blindfold race, in which one member of the cardboard boat crew steering the craft had to wear a blindfold.
A real classic! Ken Fleming displayed his 1938 Ford pick-up truck, that he and his grandson Robert Graham (both who reside on Manitoulin Island) built. The vehicle was one of 52 vehicles on display at the classic auto show.
Evansville singer Ellie Maxwell was one of many musicians who performed at Harbour Days.
Kids and adults enjoyed all the activities put on at the Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association booth.
Foam creatures! Kids of all ages had a blast at the foam party, one of the many kids and adult activities put on by Amaze N Fun.
