CHESTER WAYNE WITTY

CHESTER WAYNE WITTY

March 4, 1947 – July 15, 2024

In loving memory of Chester Wayne Witty, 77 years, who passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Donna Witty, the love of his life, who have been married for 54 years. Loving father of Derek Witty (Melissa) and Trevor Witty (Lorie). Cherished grandfather of Kaleb and Jordan Witty who he adored and loved spending time with. Dear son of Grant and Adeline Witty (both predeceased). Dear brother of Cliff Witty (predeceased) (Lori), Bruce Witty (Linda) (both predeceased) and his younger brother Peter Witty who was by his side. He’s now at peace out reeling in the big catch of the day. He also loved his granddogs. Chester retired from INCO after 34 years as a welder. He spent many years setting up the Gore Bay Fish Hatchery and putting on and organizing the Kids’ Derby on Lake Wolsley for countless years. He loved to do good things for the kids. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and just sitting out with Donna listening to the birds and taking in the Manitoulin beauty. He was extremely close with his brothers and sisters-in-law, loving them so much and enjoying every minute spent with them. He loved visiting and shooting the breeze with his buddies at Tim Hortons and the Hatchery. He is deeply loved and will be sadly missed. As for his wishes, there will be no service. A gravesite service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gore Bay Fish Hatchery or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
