Robinette Sabra Russell Regretfully and suddenly on April 7, 2024 Haweater Robinette Sabra passed away while vacationing in Hilton Head, South Carolina, USA with family. Predeceased by: father, William Robert ( Bob ) Commins • 1960; mother, Francis ( Fran ) Adelaide Malott ( nee Commins, Heywood ) • 2001 : builders and operators of Manitowaning Lodge, Manitowaning, ON. Stepfather, Lawerence ( Larry )Burton Malott • 2006; brother, William Argyle Commins • 1982; husbands, Paul Fredrick Golding • 2001; and Stanton John Russell • 2021. Loving mother to Todd and Nicole; dear mother-in-law to Jenny and Brad. Step-mother to Daniel (Miki), Josh, Nicole ( 2020) CHERISHED grandmother to Mason, Jack, Chelsea, Emma, and blessed step grandmother to Aubrie, Jorah, Teo, and Kailey. Loving sister-in-law to Hugh ( Marilyn •2021) David, Sally, Helen – caring Aunt to David, Dianne, Delbert, Scott ( 2013) Jane, Judd, Susan and Michelle ( 2002 ). Robin enjoyed her childhood at Manitowaning Lodge happily assisting, along with her brother Guy. She spread her wings to study financing at Alma College in St Thomas, ON, to then started her banking career working primarily for ScotiaBank in nearby London. Paul and Robin raised their children in close by Thamesford where Paul was raised ( as well as the at Cedar Den Manitoulin Island, parents made resort ). Remaining true to their hearts they returned as much as they could to their cherished and sacred spots on the Island . Every Christmas in Little Current, and summers on Lake Manitou. They loved to travel, camp, spend time at the hockey rink, volunteer, while joining the local Lions club and more. Upon retirement, Robin moved to the Island full time pursuing the snowbird dream Paul and herself had. Flourishing in New Smyrna Beach FL , she met her second husband Stan. They immensely enjoyed the beach and lake with extremely content. Wherever she was, Robin shone brightly as she followed her heart. Her caring, genuine love was shared and received naturally to all. Remaining a relentless volunteer, Robin also happily (and successfully) fished, produced gardens which awed, and gladly flawlessly entertained. Robin truly formed many lasting and dear relationships. Loving neighbours and all, alike. Her grandchildren, especially were ALWAYS held so very dear and close to her heart. She will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held sometime this summer on Manitoulin Island.
