Garry Carscallen

In loving memory of Garry Carscallen, 76 years, who passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, on his 76th birthday at the Manitoulin Health Center, Mindemoya, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Janet Carscallen (nee Loosemore). Loving father of Ellen Balfe (Andrew) and John Carscallen. Cherished Papa of Fintan, Myra, Amelia and Nora. Dear son of Loyst and Anne (both predeceased). Treasured nephew of Catherine and Rita (predeceased), Teresa, Helen and Joan. Will be sadly missed by his many cousins and his sisters-in-law Adele and Veronica. Garry was a volunteer firefighter for over 25 years in Coniston where he was captain for many of those years. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved boating and fishing. He worked at INCO for 33 years and retired to Manitoulin Island. Garry spent numerous coffee hours with his coffee club and will be missed by many Manitoulin friends. Garry’s sense of humour will be missed and, up until his last day, he always made sure we were laughing. He was a proud member of the McPhee clan. Donations in his memory can be made to the Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya Site. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangement entrusted to the Sudbury Park Lawn
