Manitoulin Health Centre brings two auxiliaries together in appreciation

by Margery Frisch

TEHKUMMAH—On Monday, April 22 the Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC) gathered its auxiliaries, Little Current and Mindemoya, together for a joint volunteer appreciation lunch. JD’s Manitoulin Garden Centre was bright, sunny and warm and lunch in their restaurant, the Saucy Apple, was enjoyed by all the volunteers who were able to attend.

Hospital Board Chair, Denis McGregor, welcomed everyone. “If we had planned a little bit ahead, we would have had place settings for you. We wanted both auxiliaries to mingle and get to know each other. That didn’t happen today, but next year,” he said, and everyone laughed, “we’re going to make it happen next year.”

After a delicious lunch, each volunteer was given a bright coloured Berger daisy, and all gathered for a photo opp.
