KILLARNEY, ON – Police continue the search for a missing hiker.
On October 26, 2023, shortly after 3:00 p.m., members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a missing person report in Killarney Provincial Park, in the Municipality of Killarney.
An experience hiker, 50 years-of-age, from Hamilton had gone on a four-day hiking trip into the park and was to return on Wednesday October 25, 2023.
The Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit of the OPP, along with Park Wardens conducted a search that evening without locating the missing hiker.
The search will continue for the missing hiker today and further updates will be provided when they become available.
