Haweaters, honourary ones, summer residents and readers should be honoured by paper
To the Expositor:
First off, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Mike Erskine for my forthcoming article in the August 10 edition of Maclean’s magazine. Mike’s article was most gracious and generous. Miigwetch, Mike.
Secondly, I concur completely with the editorial writer in the July 26 edition regarding the loss of a riding seat. Lip service has long been a lie to Northern Ontario. Political promises are used as pablum to garner the paltry Northern votes from parties of several political stripes.
Finally, my heartfelt congratulations to the entire editorial staff for producing a world class newspaper. It’s chock full of Island-wide news and events, far busier than when I was editor! However, the paper covers applicable federal and provincial news, offering readers a balanced view.
Haweaters, honourary ones, summer residents and readers off-Island should be honoured with the newspaper that consistently arrives each week.
