The 10th annual carboard boat regatta was once again a huge attraction for both participants and onlookers. Musical Performances 1 of 8 Dan the Music Man and a youngster led the ‘Alligator Parade. The Manitoulin Swing Band were one of the many musical entertainers who performed during the Gore Bay Harbour Days celebration. Sugarboom was the featured band at the Harbour Days dance Saturday evening. Singer Ethan Hunt of Kagawong entertains the audience at the Harbour Days celebration. The band Chicks with Picks entertained a large audience Saturday afternoon. Evansville singer Ellie Maxwell entertains a large crowd. Cardboard Boat Races 1 of 5 The ‘Silver Bullet’ team won the family division at the carboard boat regatta. The team included Jeremy, Logan and Kier Kingsbury of Ottawa. The new ‘Titanic’ award for the most spectacular sinking went to Will and Jack Alexander. Notice whats left of their boat on the ground. Some of the boats had a difficult time staying on, instead of in the water at the Cardboard boat regatta races. Go Canada! Jamie Osborne and his daughter Avery take part in one of the Cardboard board regatta races. Rowan McCann and Finn Sweeney row their way to victory in the open race at the carboard boat regatta. More Harbour Days Fun 1 of 18 A foam party drew a very large gathering of children. It’s Mardi Gras time! Ginger and Ken Wood and friends had their boat along with themselves all dressed to the nines for the Harbour Days Friday Night Boat Light It Up Contest. This axe throwing activity was enjoyed by all those who took the challenge! Kids and adults of all age took the challenge of the rock climbing wall, put on by Amaze N Fun. Face painting by Chantal led to smiles on children’s faces! Gaynor Orford, right in photo, a member of the Gore Bay-Western Manitoulin Lions Club serves a customer some of the Lions famous beef on a bun. Harbour days #22, stand alone photo—Game On Express provide a portable, climate controlled trailer featuring interactives experiences with Xbox, Wii and Switch for kids of all ages. Doug Weddel (shown in photo) and his wife Pat own this 1965 Lincoln, one of the many vehicles on display at the classic car show and shine. Kids had a great time on the Riders of the Lost Temple. Finn Sweeney obviously enjoyed having this boa constrictor wrapped around his neck at the Northern Exotic animals booth. Members of the Gore Bay Rotary Club prepare the food for their fish fry dinner. Bringing the laughs! There were several comedians on hand to bring a chuckle to all those who attended the comedian show. Western Manitoulin Minor Hockey Association president Nick Lane gets soaked in the dunk tank! Breleigh and Thomas Haggith of Exeter, Ontario are all smiles as they look on from the drivers seat in the Gore Bay Fire Department truck. Youngsters of all age enjoyed some time fishing at the swimming pool fishing tank, sponsored by the Gore Bay Fish and Game Club. Algoma-Manitoulin Michael Mantha was one of several local celebrities to get soaked in the dunk tank. Five-year-old Noah Prevost of Dowling displays the fish he caught to Murray Orford, a member of the Gore Bay Fish and Game Club.
