Bonnie Kogos recalls George Wigle

To the Expositor:

I have always scheduled a stop every summer at the Ten Mile Point Shop for the most wonderful crafts, books, sculpture and clothing, but most of all to see George and get a joke from him!

No matter what—I bought! And I do believe in keeping Manitoulin green with currency!

How deeply saddened I was to learn of his recent passing.

George will be remembered for his allegiance and dedication to Manitoulin Island’s artists, authors and craftspeople…and what an eye and heart he had in developing a beautiful place to learn and enjoy and partake in the Island’s developing culture. He will be missed.

Respectfully,
Bonnie Kogos
Manhattan and Manitoulin
