ALICE FRANCIS DOREEN EADIE/TAYLOR
December 26, 1930 to September 5, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Alice Francis Doreen Eadie/Taylor on September 5, 2022. Beloved wife of William (Bill) Taylor Senior (predeceased), daughter of late Robert and Nina (Pipher). Loving mother of Rena and Ken (Wayne predeceased), Penny and Jim (Wayne predeceased), David (predeceased) and Sharon, Bill and Linda, Allan and Brigette, Jim and Mary, Kevin, Angel and Mark. Sister of Wilhelmina and John Smith (predeceased), Clarence (predeceased), Eveline and Ken Bailey (predeceased), Bobby (predeceased) and Barb Eadie. Predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth (McMurray) and Bill Taylor. Sister-in-law Mary (Jim), Elva (Clarence) Shirley (Dougal) and brother-in-law Orion (Doreen), Jack. Half-sibling of Billie (Puddin Bill), Albert Eadie (Verna), Isabelle, Ethel and Bill Alexander and John Eadie (died WWII Sicily). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Pamela (Phil), Rebekah (predeceased), Brent (predeceased), Craig (Melissa), Lorraine (Ken), Peter (Julie), Shannon (Paul), Shawn (Nicole), Chris (Oriana), Diana (Steve), Cindy (Jason), Guy (Bianca), Devin, Jinera, Justin, Brady, Maryann, Breanna (Curtis), Sheldon (Sam), along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mom was blessed to see and experience five generations in her lifetime while becoming a great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother to several little ones. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mom always had time to listen and gave unconditional love to everyone who entered her life. Mom laboured all of her life and it is most fitting to leave her toils behind on this day. Mom’s influence on our lives has shaped us into who we are today and her memory will continue on in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Mom’s most treasured days were filled with gardening, picking wild berries, knitting and playing several musical instruments. She enjoyed harmonizing and yodelling with her brother Bobby and was an avid horseback rider in her younger years where she was raised in the Green Bush. Mother will be soaring with the eagles, keeping an eye on all of us. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Coldwater Cemetery at 1 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Angel Bus or the Gore Bay Rotary Club (Gore Bay Medical Centre) as expressions of sympathy and may be made through www.simpsonfuneralhome.ca.
