To the Expositor:
A big thank you to John Bowerman and his crew who hosted the heart warming reunion of the famous Sheguiandah Bears hockey team.
On October 1 at the Sheguiandah Seniors Hall, a small but truly special group gathered to share stories and memories of a long ago time when communities came together to enjoy good, clean, competitive hockey.
Old photos lined the walls, a DVD of these photos played on the TV (available for purchase) and old players, families and friends visited, shared a hug and a great meal together.
Everyone in attendance agreed that the Sheg Bears were more than a team, they were a family.
The time and effort that went into putting on this event is very much appreciated.
