Maxwell Ross Leeson

Maxwell Ross Leeson passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, in his 85th year. Loving husband of 57 years of Ruth (nee Morrison). Beloved father of Larry and his wife Marlene and Shelley and her husband Steve Young. Proud grandfather of Alan, Daniel, Stephanie and Colleen. Survived by his brother Reg and predeceased by his sister Idella Crouch. Son of the late Ross and Ruby Leeson. Max was born on January 8, 1928 on the Manitoulin Island, Ontario. He owned and operated his own carpentry business and then worked for the City of North York as a Building Supervisor. Max loved playing his violin and working on and driving his 1930 Model A Ford. Friends called at Sharon Hope United Church, 18648 Leslie Street, Sharon, Ontario on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Visitation was at 1 pm; funeral service was at 2 pm. Special thanks to the caring staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, particularly those in Cardiology. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Max can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Southlake Regional Health Centre.
