December 3, 1973 – July 30, 2013
In loving memory of Toby Hardwick, a resident of Sheshegwaning, who died on July 30, 2013 at the age of 39. Toby was born in Toronto, son of William “Bill” Hardwick and Verna Stella (Cada) Hardwick. He did general construction, having constructed the War Memorial Cenotaph in Sheshegwaning. He was a First Responder and a member of the Sheshegwaning Health Committee. He loved his two cats “Itch and Scratch”. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and board games. Toby’s youth was spent in Bradford and Lefroy, where he excelled in school and enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. After his education, Toby worked as a baker in Sudbury and then went to Vancouver, where he spent seven years as a siding installer. He brought his skills back to Ontario working in the Barrie Area construction field. He then moved to Sheshegwaning, continuing to construct whatever was asked of him. Toby loved spending time at Cape Roberts, hunting deer, moose, partridge and rabbit. He will be sadly missed by his family, but many fond memories will be cherished by them. Beloved son of Verna and Bill Hardwick. Survived by his sister Tammi-Marie Hardwick (partner Emma) and grandmother Georgina Cada. Predeceased by grandparents Gerald and Dorothy Hardwick and Angus Cada. Also predeceased by uncle Gerald Bruce Hardwick. Toby will be sadly missed by his friend Freda Endanawas and her children Isaiah, Niomi and Mia. He will also be missed by numerous auntsand uncles, cousins, friends and community members and by his good buddy Christopher Neglar. Friends called at the Sheshegwaning Community Complex on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 12 pm to 3 pm. The memorial service was conducted at the complex at 3 pm, with Reverend Janice Frame officiating. A committal of ashes will follow.
