THREE TIME’S A CHARM—The Lil Black Pearl, captained by the Tessiers, won their heat in the 8-11 division of the cardboard boat race handily. This beautiful creation also won the award for best decorated and took the Business Division under the Wired Up Electrical banner. Having competed, and lost, in the previous two Haweater Weekend boat races, the family buckled down and created the ultimate sailing vessel for 2024. This year marked the cardboard boat race’s 19th edition.
