SUDBURY – At approximately 6:30 pm, on the 2nd of August, Greater Sudbury Fire Service responded to a call of a structure fire on Lumsden Road, Blezard Valley. Once the fire was extinguished, a body was discovered in the ruins of the fire.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office along with GSPS Criminal Investigations Division are conducting the joint investigation. The forensic examination of the scene will be ongoing throughout the coming days to determine the cause of the fire; while Detectives attempt to positively identify the deceased.
