Frank Osawamick, a resident of Wikwemikong, Manitoulin Island died on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the age of 45 years. Frank is survived by his wife Beverly and his loving children, Kelly, Katlin, Desire, Chelsey, Darcy, Cody, Lillian and Livia, grandchildren, Aiyanna, Raider, Drake, Mikiida, Diamond and the late Marcus. Cherished Godfather of Miigwaans, Lilly-Anna, Conan and Tinasha Kaigige. Dear son of Gertie (husband Max Manitowabi) and the late Eugene Recollet. Frank is predeceased by his grandparents Florence and John Osawamick and Annie and Eli Recollet. Loving brother of Anthony Wassegiijig, Jonathan and Greg Fisher, Marcia (Joey), Cynthia (Elwood), Elena and Krista (Ryan). Frank will be remembered by many aunties, uncles, cousins and many friends. Frank enjoyed physical fitness at the Y, outdoor activities, such as fishing, logging, hunting and loved to pull pranks. Friends know what we are talking about. Frank’s passion was drywalling taught by his Uncle Jimmy Recollet. He loved taking his kids four-wheeling. He also loved traveling with his brother Anthony, watching sports such as UFC Boxing and keeping fit. He liked telling jokes and working hard like his grandpa. Whenever he would have conversations with people he would talk deeply about life, inspirational talks, about work and health. He enjoyed card tricks. Whenever Frank had individual talks, his thoughts would be inspirational words on life, to be hard working, taking care of our health and always spoke his mind. Family and friends gathered at St. Anthony Daniel Roman Catholic Church, Kaboni on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 3 pm. Funeral Mass was held at the Holy Cross Mission Roman Catholic Church, Wikwemikong on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11 am with Father Tony Boranoski officiating. Interment at the Kaboni Cemetery.
