MANITOULIN—Grab your lawn chairs, hot chocolate and bundle up for the Gore Bay Santa Claus Parade tomorrow, Saturday, December 5 starting at 7:30 pm.
Participants will meet at C.C. McLean School at 7 pm. The route will go north on Meredith Street, west on Dawson Street, south on Phipps Street, west on Eleanor Street, south on Laird Street, east on Main Street, north on Water Street, west on Dawson Street, south on Meredith Street and back to C.C. McLean School.
Also happening this weekend is the annual Journey to Bethlehem from tonight (Friday, December 4) and Saturday, December 5 from 6 to 8:30 pm. The multi-denominational, family oriented outdoor presentation of the Christmas story is sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit. The event starts at the Mindemoya Missionary Church. Free will offerings are encouraged.
As well, there will be a great opportunity to shop local when downtown Mindemoya hosts its Christmas Shopping Spree from 9 am to 5 pm.
Be sure to stop in at the Island Foodland, Guardian Pharmacy, The Roosterant, The Green Gazebo, Mum’s Restaurant, Rock and Rail Gift Shop, Cindy’s Fashions, Jakes’ Home Centre, Everything Under the Sun Consignment, Kat’s Pet Supplies, Rylan’s Clothing and Williamson’s Hardware/Uptop Sports Shop. There will be great deals, in-store specials, raffle draws and prizes.
