Ask and you shall be enlightened
To the Expositor:
I ask five questions that were taken from a video on YouTube entitled ‘21st Century Education:’
a) When is the last time you adjusted a VCR to see a clear image on the TV screen?
b) When is the last time you used “correcting fluid?”
c) When is the last time you used a payphone?
d) When is the last time you got up to change the channel on your TV?
My point? Now, the most serious question is “When is the last time you looked at your son or daughter’s education?” No need to feel embarrassed if you are hesitant on that question, none whatsoever. You are not alone if your answer is ‘not for a long time.’
If you feel a twinge of concern, and you should, contact your area principal and ask them for a community presentation of ‘Towards the 21st Century in Education.’ It might enlighten, if not set aside your concerns knowing your school board has your interests in hand. Further, the Rainbow District School Board is prepared to share that answer with you and the nice part, they have already started.
